You have certainly noticed the inability of setting up an ad-hoc connection in Windows 8 unlike Windows 7. However, still we can create a hosted network connection in Windows 8 turning your computer into a hotspot allowing you to share files and internet connection to other Wi-Fi enabled devices such as mobile phones and tablets.
