I want my Windows 7 start menu back

Hate the new way you go around the barn to accomplish anything in Windows 8?  Here is a 3rd party app to bring back the old look and operation of the Windows 7 start menu.

Classic Shell is a collection of features that were available in older versions of Windows but were later removed. Create a system repair disc

To create a system repair disc:

Open Backup and Restore:
click Start button
click Control Panel
click System and Maintenance
click Backup and Restore

In the left pane, click Create a system repair disc, and then follow the steps. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Windows 7 XP Mode

Now you have no excuses NOT to upgrade to Windows 7.

Not only have the ironed out the kinks with compatibility, they have also incorporated Windows XP Mode(which is a virtual session)for older programs that just won't work in compatibility mode.

The only catch is you must have Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate to run Windows XP Mode.

Runonce page will not go away.

No matter how you got to this point is irrelevant but what is, is how to get rid of this cracker.

When you open Internet Explorer 7 you either get a blank page or just won't go away no matter how many times you save your settings.
Maybe you see an error that says:
Line 56 Char:2 Error: Element not found Code: 0URL:http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2aspx ARRRRGGGGG....

Thank God for programmers and people smarter than myself to figure this annoyance out.

If that doesn't work, you will have to do it manually, which is how I had to do this serveral times before with other client machines.

Window XP:
Open Regedit & got to:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]"RunOnceHasShown"=dword:00000001"RunOnceComplete"=dword:00000001
For Windows 7:
Put the following in a reg file and run:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00;Changes Main Web Page to blank[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"Start Page"=http://about:blank
